The Role

Job Summary:

This role focuses on providing individualised support, motivation, and practical guidance to young people at EB8 as they build confidence, prepare for the world of work, and explore their next steps. Working closely with the wider team, the Progression Mentor will be a key point of contact for learners, helping to break down barriers, promote wellbeing, and develop key skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive, supportive relationships with learners through regular 1:1 coaching
  • Help young people develop confidence, communication, independence, and work readiness
  • Support delivery of employability, personal development, and wellbeing sessions
  • Promote engagement in daily activities, workshops, and trips
  • Provide consistent encouragement and emotional support to students facing challenges
  • Track and monitor learner progress and engagement, sharing updates with the team
  • Support learners with job search tasks, CVs, applications and work experience preparation
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Liaise with families and other professionals to ensure wraparound support
  • Assist with day-to-day running of EB8, including group activities, events, and admin tasks as required.

Qualifications
